Sunquest Information Systems, a healthcare information technology company, transformed the former Muscular Dystrophy Association headquarters in Tucson into an 88,000-square-foot collaborative workplace designed to support a more connected and dynamic work culture. The renovation reimagined traditional work areas through flexible furniture layouts, integrated technology, collaborative settings, and strategic use of color. The design encouraged employees to move beyond conventional workstations and engage with a variety of spaces suited to focused work, collaboration, and team interaction.
As a Junior Interior Designer, I supported the senior design team throughout the project, contributing to space planning, finish and material selections, color development, furniture coordination, and design documentation. I assisted with product research, presentation materials, furniture layouts, and coordination of interior elements while working alongside senior designers, architects, consultants, and vendors. This project strengthened my experience in workplace design and demonstrated how thoughtful planning, technology, furniture, and color can work together to create a more engaging and productive environment.
