D2 Dispensary was designed as one of Arizona's largest cannabis dispensaries and among the first in the state to incorporate a drive-through experience. Created to accommodate a high volume of daily visitors, the retail environment prioritizes efficient customer flow while maintaining a welcoming, personalized experience. Thoughtful space planning organized dedicated service points and circulation paths to move customers seamlessly through the dispensary while minimizing wait times and congestion. A private VIP consultation lounge was incorporated to provide one-on-one guidance, allowing staff to better understand each customer's needs in a comfortable, discreet setting. The design balances operational efficiency with hospitality, creating an elevated retail experience that supports both first-time and returning visitors.
As the Senior Interior Designer and Assistant Project Manager, I supported the project from design through construction, collaborating closely with the client, architects, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies. My responsibilities included space planning, finish and material selection, retail fixture and furniture procurement, construction administration, and project coordination. I also developed a comprehensive understanding of state and local cannabis facility regulations, ensuring the design successfully met licensing, operational, and code compliance requirements while delivering a functional and engaging customer experience.
