This 15,000-square-foot adaptive reuse project transformed a former restaurant into a comprehensive dermatology and plastic surgery practice featuring 11 exam rooms, a fully integrated staff support area with administrative offices, conference space, break room, employee fitness center, a dedicated Mohs laboratory, and a single suite OR surgery center with three pre/post-operative bays.
As the Lead Senior Interior Designer and Project Manager, I directed the project from concept through construction over the course of two years, serving as the primary design lead and client contact. I led coordination meetings with the clients, client representatives, architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors while overseeing design decisions, project documentation, and construction administration. My responsibilities included space planning, finish and material selections, ensuring local and state healthcare and surgery center code compliance, coordinating furniture procurement, and the development of a custom graphics package that rebranded the practice, creating a cohesive patient experience.
