The Roadrunner Grill is the primary dining destination at SaddleBrooke One Senior Living Community, serving residents for breakfast, lunch, and dinner while also supporting guests of the adjacent golf clubhouse and pro shop. The renovation reimagined two separate dining rooms into one expansive, hospitality-inspired restaurant designed to encourage gathering, improve circulation, and elevate the overall dining experience. The layout was strategically reconfigured to introduce a new bar, an interactive pizza station, and an expanded kitchen and back-of-house operation that significantly improved staff workflow and service efficiency. Acoustical performance was a key design consideration, leading to close collaboration with an acoustical consultant to integrate sound-absorbing solutions that enhanced comfort while maintaining the restaurant's open and welcoming atmosphere. Warm materials, refined finishes, and carefully selected lighting created an inviting environment that balances functionality with an elevated dining experience.
As the Lead Senior Interior Designer and Project Manager, I served as the primary design lead and client contact, guiding the project from concept through construction. I coordinated closely with the client, architects, consultants, contractors, committee members, and furniture vendors to ensure the design aligned with both operational goals and the resident experience. My responsibilities included space planning, finish and material selection, custom lighting design, FF&E specification and procurement, construction documentation and administration, budget and schedule coordination, and resolving design challenges throughout the project to deliver a cohesive hospitality environment.
